5 Wine Films Worth Giving a Try
When you think of Winter, you think of movies and popcorn while snuggled up on the sofa, keeping warm while it’s cold outside. Add a glass of wine to the mix and you have a match made in heaven. Here are a few movies we think pair well with wine and sofa films. Get ready to delve into the cold months, the right way!

1. Year of the Comet
This romantic comedy, starring Peter Yates takes us on a journey of wine and adventure. A vintage bottle of wine that dates all the way back to the Napoleonic Era is found, and an unlikely duo is meant to transport it from Scotland to London. Will the two find love along the way? You will have to watch it to find out the ending!

2. Blood and Wine
With a starring cast of Jack Nicholson, Michael Caine and Jennifer Lopez, Blood and Wine is a thriller where a wine merchant tries to steal a precious necklace in a heist. What happens? We won’t tell. But this film is best watched with a glass of Tuscan Dogajolo Rosato to truly appreciate its subtleties.

3. French Kiss
This is perhaps one of the most loved romantic comedies known for its dynamic duo – Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. This 1995 film features a seductive thief, Luc, who has Kate unknowingly smuggle a necklace across the border hidden in a wine vine while she is simply trying to win back the love of an ex. This is a timeless comedy which stands the test of time – just like a fine wine!

4. This Earth is Mine
Based on a successful novel, This Earth is Mine tells the story of a family of California winemakers. It is a cinematic classic which should be watched in the company of a velvety wine such as Chianti Classico.
5. Vinodentro
This Italian film is a mysterious comedy in which Giovanni Cuttin has a sip of wine and his world suddenly completely changes. Inspired by a novel by Fabio Marcotto, this is a comedy definitely worth watching.
