“A man will be eloquent if you give him good wine.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
American poet, essayist, philosopher and founder of the transcendentalist movement, Ralph Waldo Emerson is definitely known for his eloquence in speaking, conveying radical and intellectual ideas with the precision, detail and lightness of a poet. Did wine help him do this? Who knows.
But we do know that any person who can appreciate a fine wine, and can speak of it with clarity, is certainly eloquent. Now, don’t give a man too much good wine or you may find a bit too much truth come out of his mouth.
A toast to Emerson with a glass of sparkling wine!
