Should you put ice in your wine? Absolutely not would be the first thought! But the answer may be - maybe, but why would you?
When you water down wine by putting ice in it, the natural acidity which gives it the fresh taste will be destroyed, as well as its color and aroma. If you want your wine chilled, it's a better idea to put the bottle in a bucket of ice before opening it.
Then again, some people insist on ice cubes jangling around in the glass, and if this is what makes you happy, then do it. After all, drinking wine is supposed to be a pleasurable experience. If ice in wine gives you pleasure, I suppose it's a matter of personal taste whether or not you choose to add ice or not.
